Self-indulgent pet thread

poor genghis. you'd think with all that expensive pedigree tinkering they'd at least have bred in some 'iron bowel' DNA codes!

or maybe he's like the cat equivalent of the princess and the pea: "I detect you have fed me something which was not prescribed by a vet or sold by Waitrose. urgh, i feel all funny already".

still, he is beautiful, and posh, and has people who loves him. something tells me he'll survive OK. just hope it doesn't knacker the both of you out waiting for that to be confirmed!
((poorly posh idiot cat))

He's a funny bugger- his favourite wet food is the dirt cheap one from Morrisons, but his second favourite is the ultra posh one that costs about a quid a sachet from the vet! He didn't like having a thermometer up his bum, but was pretty relaxed about the green probiotic slime and injections... And since then he's been sulking but no vindaloo-poo for about 3 hours now. So hopefully over the worst of it. Horrid when they are ill :(

Just found my boys thus...

Poor poor Genghis! Hope he's on the mend with all those concoctions. Griff had to have some prebiotic slime stuff once and absolutely hated it, so well done Genghis.

he just looks really, really offended! He's sulky but has only done nuclear poo twice since his antibiotics.... poor Northerner has to clear it up as I'm pregnant; watching him chase the cat to wipe shit off his fur is extremely funny (and quite gross). Still, think idiot cat's perking up so we're not looking at a liver infection or anything bad. He must have eaten something, though god knows what given he is an indoor cat and there isn't anything that bad in the garden as far as i can figure out. Unless the fox left some rubbish from his foraging we missed in our daily clear up. Not sure. God, what a worrying night and day :(

I'm going to talk about cats and newspapers.

When you don't want them to they'll walk all over them, but only the bit you are reading. However just a couple of minutes ago I heard Luke coughing, sounding like he as about to be sick. I jumped up and put a piece of newspaper under his mouth. Obviously the cat's reaction was to move his head to one side and vomit over the carpet. No pictures this time!

Ah, the sulk. Herbs (RIP) could sulk for Scotland. Hope you're feeling a bit more at ease. You don't need the stress! Sorry to hear about the nuclear poops. Breeze did a couple of "softies" when she first arrived, necessitating use of "kitty shitty wipes" (otherwise called "piggie dickie wipes" because of their use in dealing with Griff's smegma situation - yeah, it's a boar thing.)

Pleased to say Breeze did very well at the vets today! She went straight in the carrier, uttered not a peep on the way, was a bit reluctant to get out at the other end but didn't even flinch when the injection went in and was fine when we got back. She's half lying under the sofa which is her "comfort space" and probably because the bare floor is cooler under there. Will take her for a walk out back later. She was interested in finding out what was beyond the sheds yesterday (probably fox and other cat crap) and nosing into next door's garden.

I would check my shoes before putting them on in the morning if I were you ....

Knackered after the excitement of puppy class and a celebratory poo on my carpet :D

I think what I like most about Puppy is that I can never quite make out the face!
