The progressive if murderous Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman is now being referred to as the Deputy King by the Saudi English language press. He has also shown how forward-thinking he is by issuing a Royal decree appointing the grand-daughter of an Ethiopian slave, Reema bint Bandar as Ambassador to Washington. She is, of course also a Princess as her grandmother was a concubine of Prince Sultan older brother of the current king . I assume she's been chosen as symbolic of the new order, and because she was brought up in and has contacts in Washington establishment circles. Her father Bandar bin Sultan spent 20 or so years as serving Ambassador from the mid-80s onwards. Her predecessor as Ambassador, the Deputy-King's brother is now minister of defence.
