Which thread was it?
I can't remember tbh, was a couple of months ago at least.
Which thread was it?
interesting thanks for info and for linkThere's a thread about violence against women, and once upon a time I suggested that it wasn't a good look to call a female poster a cunt, on that particular thread. It was explicitly limited to that context, i think thats clear. It certainly wasn't a general "don't call a woman a cunt ever" - that was a little strawman that came up later, and not from me.
That's it. It wasn't how it's being painted now.

No, no we didn’t.Didn't we agree to ease up on use of the c-word some time back?
Glad someone has finally come out and said itBloke is an utter cunt.
Bob from Brockley?Bloke is an utter cunt.
was it a 'David Gilmour is not a cunt' teeshirt?Just saw a kid wearing a "David Gilmour" t-shirt.
I know, I was born there. Those Bury Lancastrians are often a bit dodgy . Look at the war of the Roses.
I want one of those.was it a 'David Gilmour is not a cunt' teeshirt?
Bloke is an utter cunt.
As for the music, the complete absence of lead guitar solos could be interpreted as yet another bitter dig at David Gilmour.
“Have you ever listened to an audiobook through one device with Radio 3's Night Tracks playing simultaneously on another? It's not as good as that”.Great review here:
Saucer Full Of Sour Milk: Roger Waters' DSOTM Redux Reviewed | The Quietus
Back in the pre-poptimism heyday of music journalism when people still cared about what kind of crap was being peddled to hapless consumers, musicians were sometimes asked to justify themselves. Interviewing stars for Smash Hits or Q magazine, the legendary Tom Hibbert (1952 – 2011) liked to, as...thequietus.com
I must listen to the original. It’s about time I guess. I know I’ll hate it though, so maybe I shouldn’t bother. Pink Floyd are one of those bands you don’t need to hear without judging them and their output. I know instinctively that they are excrementally poor.
Fucking hell it is exactly like this.“Have you ever listened to an audiobook through one device with Radio 3's Night Tracks playing simultaneously on another? It's not as good as that”.
I heard he'd redone the album and assumed it was some kind of note for note remake and he'd just wanted to replace all those second class citizens who used to make up his retinue, aka Pink Floyd. I've just managed 5 minutes of the remade album and realised it's, well, how the fuck to describe it? Fucking awful, certainly, but beyond that... He claims he was the dominant voice in the original album and so, if that's true, he's laying down some kind of sub-lounge lizard vocals on top of it... I know, I know, he thinks he's a genius, ha ha... In his hubris he's shitting on his own creation.Fucking hell it is exactly like this.
Even if you hate Pink Floyd, as it’s traditionally very popular to on this forum, DSOTM has sold 45 million copies, and for many of those still bears repeat listens.
This would struggle to sell 45 copies and a single listen feels one like too many so far
