Portugal v Czech

It does feel like Spain and Germany will make the final without too much duress. I am hoping for an upset but.....

It looks a shoe-in. England involvement aside its the final I'd like to see. But I won't because they are not showing it at the festival I'm going to, arse.
 
Decent performance...I think Portugal are the very definition of a one-man team tho. At least England have several potential game-changers to call on. Would love to see Ronaldo break a metatarsal.

Yeh, well it pissing with rain, i had a massive headache from the previous night's exploits, jack white was playing the loudest gig ever next door vibrating my skeleton, am fucked today. the last thing i wanted to do was get into a car and cruise around waving flags and sitting on the horn.

So who do Portugal play in the semis? The radio said it was the winner of Spain/France, but Beeb fixtures say winner of Germany/Greece?
 
Yup Spain / France.

Germany will play the winner of Italy / England. Basically its a Spain v Germany final and we should probably skip straight to it.
 
I fancy the Greeks. What more motivation can you have than beating the cunts trying to nick your country off you
 
Germany are a shoe-in, the only thing that can possibly stop them is by me backing them at the bookies. France were so poor against Sweden I can't see them getting anything from Spain and Portugal don't have enough quality - too many weak points in the team.

Klinsman made an interesting point last night that they won in 2004 by tightly man-marking the danger men in every game. But he says that this only works where there are just one or two danger men. Where there are four or five, you get torn apart. I think Germany have enough to score at least a couple tonight. Greece might fluke one, but my money would be on them doing a Czech Republic and not even coming close to scoring.
 
I think unless the Greeks concede in the first 15 minutes, then they've half a chance of dragging it out.
 
I'm with Jurgen. In 2004, there weren't any great teams, so Greece's system pulled them through - I remember watching in 2004, and their opponents ran out of ideas against them in the end. But there are great teams this time around.
