Okay Ive just watched episode 1. I like it, it's lots of fun, apart from being wound up by son 2, who's seen every single episode of the animae critiquing it lol

He just couldn't help himself

It flows along merrily enough that I got through a few episodes - not really bothered by the shonky SFX if the story works. But ultimately the characters don't seem strong enough to sustain it and it all seems a bit two-dimensional.
