Usually that annoys me in other musicians, but with him I think it's funny- perhaps because I first heard and learned to like the piece that way [from that recording]
Not really a fan of Gould, but that recording is allright...

It's Carla Bozulich who used to be in Geraldine Fibbers. Hard to explain - it's kind of based in country, but it's harsher and more experimental than that. Totally compelling. Really good cover / feature in this month's Wire
