It’s the original mix recorded in Detroit at Hitsville and other locations in the city. It was remixed in LA with added strings when the record company took fright at how stoned it all sounded.

Yes just been reading up on it. An album of funky instrumentals too. I'll give it a go.

They can be a bit "curates egg", these things, if not a total waste of time sonetimes. I know this album so well, I think it'll be interesting though.

Standout bits were the a capella interlude in Inner City Blues, the different bassline and the party going on longer at the end of the title track, and Right On quite possibly even being better than the one we know and love.
