Oh just found the surrealism thread on

indigo4

Harlot of Brixton
flickr whilst investigating that HRD thread below - love surrealist photos..

what does anyone else search for on flickr ....?

Sometimes I randomly surf by seeing the next photo in a group and then switch groups as I click through photos in multiple groups. I like to leave comments on interesting photos that no one else has yet noticed. Often end up irritated that the glossy crap that ends up very popular.

My current favourite flickr contact is a midwife who mostly snaps premature babies and twins. It's the sort of subject matter that is often too cute but she executes the photos so damn well that I don't mind:

I tend to use the map more than search then going onto the photographers stream and/or the groups that the photo is in.

whats the map?

i only learnt about a map on the gum tree when looking for houses.. mapping a house that you would want to live in was fking helpful....what this map on flickr,.. i havent put any photos on flickr just because id have to bother mapping them with tags......and im a bit lazy.....

I used to have pictures on flickr when I had an account there but never put tags on them. It is optional to tag them - at least it was about a year ago. I don't like flickr, it is too much of a social networking site for me and it takes ages to get a links on it to open even though I have an 8 meg broadband.

Anyway, where is the Surrealism thread on flickr? I haven't found it.
