Now Jurgenna believe us - Liverpool 20/21

That's a positive tbh.

Wasn't he a bit of a jonah at Schalke?

Despite the shiteness of our play atm - lets assume city beat utd and pray we beat Fulham - that still leaves us only 5 behind UTD with 30 to play for.

Still time to turn this around and make the top 4.

But on the other hand suppose it gets worse - would you prefer to deliberately fuck up a eufa league place and just stick to domestic competition next season?
I was thinking what with the euros etc that a lot of players would be having to come back early and not getting a decent break before pre-season.

I watched the game on OPTUS sports which is an Australian channel and had the dubious pleasure of Michael Owens analysis. There was a quite dubious explanation of firstly why Mane could have had a penalty but then a truly remarkable explanation of why he didnt . just found the quote

“Mo Salah is the penalty taker in this team, and if [Mane] thinks he’s getting a chance to score he thinks, “well I’m going to score, if I don’t stay on my feet, Mo Salah’s going to get another penalty. It might be a wild sort of theory, but the competitive nature of him and Mo Salah… we’ve seen them not passing to each other when one of them is in a much better position to the other. We’re seeing a little bit of selfishness, we’re seeing a little bit of disgruntled behaviour.”

Hmmm - nah not believing in that, they are competitive - but not to that extent, Mo would have gone down like a sack of potatoes.

As a side note whilst talking about Mane - watched the documentary about him on Amazon prime free before the game last night - it's a good back story and worth a watch.

Michael Owen is the dullest football pundit. I can't remember what the game was, but he once killed a thrilling cup game that went to penalties with his monotone lack of insight

Edited to add, lol

The EPL games seem to be packaged and flogged to English speaking countries with various pairs of ex EPL pundits as analysts Optus and Rise ( Australia and Caribbean ) seem to have Owen and Sherwood on a rota, CBSN/Peacock in the States has Robbie Mustoe, Robbie Earle and Tim Sherwood.

They look like they have had a spectacular crash. Have they been paid to throw matches. I'm not believing what's happened.

#goingwellthen

There was a time when we were almost guaranteed to score two/three/four in the second half but not on this run.

Still can't believe we lost to you.

Fulham are playing well though, not sure why they were still odds on to be relegated this morning.

Six home games lost in a row?

Of course, in the year of Covid, this season will have a massive asterisk next to it.

The asterisk will say "Liverpool were really shit".

It’s getting beyond embarrassing now. I just can’t get my head around it. Such a collapse in a short period of time. I know injuries, player fatigue, no fans etc all plays a part but surely not to this extent.

We have two of the best strikers in the world who couldn’t score in a brothel right now. Defence is shit, midfield has no imagination, everything is wrong. Just want this season to be over and rebuild to be honest.

Genuine curiosity, do you have any notions on what the rebuilding would like? As you sort of suggest, on paper, looking at your (fully fit, of course) squad, it should be working much better than this
