WTF? Can you imagine the blokes painting that, looking at each other going "are you sure?" ... "well that's what it says here" :hmm:

Apparently it was confusing, so they changed it to this:

:D :D

500 words in that Telegraph article on how it looks, and not a single word on whether it has achieved its actual objective, which was to slow traffic.

:D Is it still like that?

It is ATM, they've actually done a good job turning what was a few parking spaces into a community space with planters, seating that incorporates more planters, 'lamp columns', new trees, free public wi-fi, etc. -those photos are before a lot of finishing touches' were added.

It's just those bloody wiggly lines, no one likes them, and no one from the council can explain the thinking behind them. 🤷‍♂️

Actually, that reminds me of attending a meeting about the town's re-generation some years ago, and ugly the sea-front multi-storey car park came up, it's coming to end of life, and the council's Chief Executive explained there was a problem with legal access rights granted to flats above the shops to the west & east, as it's linked to their roof top parking spaces.

I almost splattered my beer, when he said something you wouldn't expect from a man in that position, 'I've no idea what the designers were on, but as it was built in the 60's, I can only assume too much acid.' :D

I used to work in Clevedon- got a soft spot for it....but honestly they drive like a bunch of cunts! Way worse then inner city Bristol where I live!

Why?

Fucking old people's driving entitlement! 😆 Triple parking all over the place, so they can chat to their mates, blocking me in at the health centre- where I worked at the time. Parking on double yellow lines, on a bend, on really narrow roads.

Way worse then Easton (inner city Bristol)....which is hard to believe .

Looks like the wiggly lines will be gone in time for next summer, with another £2.7million to be spent in undoing that mess, and creating something like this.

Although I am not sure WTF is going on with those white spots. :hmm:

It’s probably too soon to know. They only replaced it on Wednesday.
Do you think the Telegraph have done their research and updated their article yet, to report on whether speed has been successfully reduced?
