Griselda is very good so far. Recommended.

Finished this yesterday. Very good but definitely more fiction than fact. Satisfying ending too.

Society of the Snow. It doesn't say anything particularly new about the Andes plane crash survivors but is well done

I was just coming here to post about this, I'm about halfway through it.

I actually think it's amazing, better than any previous dramatisation and I can't see that another one is needed really after this.
It is so well done, harrowing and sympathetic to what they went through.
Horrific but also a brilliant film - it is not going to be for everyone, but if anyone has an interest in the subject matter (dramatisations of real life survival situations) and can cope with it, then I recommend this film.

Have finished it myself. Certainly a 7/10 for me but nothing more than that overall. Sofia Vergara’s performance is superb though, and alone worth watching the show.

I’d waited to finish it before checking her real life story. Among the articles I quickly browsed I saw some quotes from the creators in which they claimed they took care not to glamourise the real Griselda. Which seems bullshit to me after checking her bio. She killed a kid when she was 11 over a kidnapping gone wrong ffs. And it seems getting married to her turned out to be a serious health hazard for all of her husbands.

Still, pretty enjoyable overall.

I finished watching it, it was really good.
One of my favourite dramatisations of that ilk to this day.
My taste in films may not be to everyone's liking.

Just watched first two episodes of Kingdom, a historical zombie series made in Korea. Excellent stuff so far.

Yeah, great stuff. Waiting for the next series.

Also just finished Griselda. She was an absolute fucking monster. It was alright, very much like Narcos or a bit Miami Vicey. Worth a watch.

I found it unsettling that Alberto is played by the Pacho actor

Is this the true story of Griselda Blanco - ‘the Ccaine Queen Of Miami?
If so, will give it a miss, as I’ve heard the story already on Behind The Bastards

Enjoyed the film Our Souls at Night. Hadn't heard of it before. Jane Fonda and Robert Redford both very good - gentle and direct - and not a story I've seen before. It was the right length for the plot, but I'd happily have watched more of it.

Sorry for sniggering at the title!
