I mean they do have a switching offer at the moment so that was some nice free money to move an account back to them and are also doing 8% on a saving account, so they've got some of my business back for now.

I did it the other month so definitely recommend it. I used a spare account. Payment came through really quick.

I think Nationwide are fine tbh! They even refunded my a load of credit card interest as I had made enough payments but just a bit late.
I have my house insurance with them and have the flex account bank account with the various goodies that come included for £13 a month. I have used the travel insurance loads and the car break-down cover various times too. Oh and free withdrawls on my debit card and ive never been charged for using my credit card abroad, anywhere in the world. It's just a shame they got rid of the savings interest and the interest free overdraft...

The advert states "unlike the big banks we're not closing our branches" which a watchdog found misleading.
