How is this even allowed...unbelievable brazen bullshit.

Sajid Javid remains an MP but rehired by JP Morgan although they wont disclose how much he is being paid, the same happened to Tony Bliar and he was on a cool 2 million a year. (No wonder he is looking so smug)

A senior advisor at the bank but the role will be 'strictly ringfenced' from his government position....

MP for hire

Isn’t there supposed to be some cooling off period before an ex-minister can take up a post with a private company that is directly linked to what you were minister for?

They shouldn't be allowed outside jobs at all, He is being paid £100K a year to be an MP, I would expect for that sort of moolah it would be a full time job. Whatever J P Morgan are paying him then it has got to be for influence/inside info,
To most people a second job is a couple of hours behind the bar on a Saturday night not an international investment bank.

The irony of that being in the Evening Standard is quite large.

George has about 10, 6-figure sum jobs at this point.

trouble is the wankers hang out with the seriously rich and then get to believe they are entitled to similar riches:mad:.
I imagine it's very hard to resist.
although if you are a tory they just assume it's their right.
like the odious lord who was tweeting he failed his al levels but it taught him to hustle. But he went to harrow so was either special needs or lazier than a lizard and a hereditary peer.

They usually say that it's good for MPs to get real hands-on experience of outside organizations. Funny none of them seem to opt for voluntary work.
