More police brutality than you can shake a stick at.

Even without the neck pressure, restraining someone in the prone position massively increases the risk of positional asphyxia, which is why most forces here require officers to turn people over and sit or stand them up immediately after they've been cuffed (albeit it's routinely ignored).

This geezer has some balls.

whatever I say will be ripped to shreds; including this.

Not whatever you could say, just what you are choosing to at the moment. You see the difference?

Come on a say why you think it is worth posting that they could have known each other; you must have posted it for a reason.

News like this, that continues to emerge from the USA just reinforces how racist and uncivilised and brutal the states are - to their own population. It is no wonder there is civil unrest.

Years ago I visited with my Spanish girlfriend and she was amazed at how much racism she received, it turns out that is how Mexicans were treated everyday and the white Americans we came across thought she was Mexican.

Like I've said before, I don't know the ins and outs of the cats arse. I know what I saw in the videos that we saw was disgusting. I watched the first video all the ay through and it was hard to watch. The police man deserves all he gets, but we all know that won't happen.

The link I just posted I have no opinion on just yet because I know what this forum is like. I couldn't see it posted in this or the thread that I put on ignore and as such I thought it was worth posting.

edited for grammar.

Basically i think similar yeah, no intent has to be proved. They are saying they might charge him with more (higher degree of murder) but starting with that.

some explaining in this thread:

so potentially if something came out at a later date e.g they worked together in the past and there was animosity he could be charged with something more serious.

Plenty of witnesses and film from three angles.
You'd have to prove that his intention was to kill him or severely injure him. The defence would be that he was trying to restrain him and did not intend to kill him, which would be very difficult to overturn. especially if the knee to the neck is considered a legitimate use of force.

I had a karate teacher at university who also taught at the state patrol academy. I'm pretty sure he'd consider that hold to be something you use only if you intend to kill someone. I'm sure the prosecution could find an expert to testify to that. The cop also continued the hold long after his body was limp.
