"Modern Scotland is deep in socialism, leftist tripe and cultural waste"

you included the ads google reckon you might be interested in
Butchers could no longer read the link, so I cut and pasted the page for him. When Frankie pointed out I had included the Google ad, I replied that it was a Google ad, tailored to me. I made no claim whatsoever regarding the ad. Certainly not when I started the thread, because I hadn't even posted the C&P then.

I get google ads for conservatives on some sites. Not because I'm a tory but because I subscribed to Con Home to see what bumph they send out. Some of it is hilarious :D

I get google ads for cheap funeral plans.

I get 'lose 15kg of belly fat in two weeks' and 'Christian Mingle -- dating for Christian singles'.

Given I'm not trying to lose weight, don't do religion and amn't looking for a partner (and certainly wouldn't want one from 'Christian Mingle' if I were), a bit confused about where this rubbish comes from.

Is your partner overweight and possibly unfaithful? Do they have access to your computer?

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good Internet connection must be in want of a wife.
We like the first line of your novel, but we're not sure about that last word. It's a bit coy for today's tastes. Try "wank". It has the same number of letters, but is more frank.

Also, the title is a bit dusty. How about "Fitz and Liz"? We can talk about that.

Modern Britain is deep in socialism too, by the measure of what most people would actually like. Scotland has its own regional parliament. Give each Scotland-sized chunk of England its own parliament with similar powers, and we'd end up with similar results in most places. Yorkshire is the same size as Scotland more or less, and I'd wager that a Yorkshire parliament would be more left-wing than a Scottish one. Even in the south east, regional assemblies would have to be more responsive to what most people actually want - a Kent parliament or a Sussex parliament would be more left-wing than the current government.

The nature of regional assemblies itself is more important than the nature of Scotland - no regional assembly anywhere in the country would be elected on a mandate that was more right-wing than the national government. The whole point of regional assemblies is that they get their people more stuff than they would otherwise have.

Mussolini was more fucking left wing than the current government.

Edinburgh in August, is representative of THE ENTIRE UK arts scene, as it is effectively a trade show, from which all the arts centres and theatres come and work out what to book for the year.
The festival is largely staying neutral on the referendum, there are three plays referringto it on the fringe, quite liked the adaptation of a Finnish play, and the International has already ruled out doing anything in the run up next year- so not a smart move antagonising people

If she had hung . around til say the 30th she would have seen its a different city entirely. Admittedly one with quite a lot of left wing fly posting going on.

anytime ive been there im tripping over Footlights tossers, Pipe bands from Delhi, peruvian buskers and all sorts of European mime artistes . Theres not a single person with a syringe of heroin scoffing a deep fried mars bar anywhere. Only for the fact the weathers shite you wouldnt think you were even in scotland .

The Scottish National Party, which favors (in addition to separation from England) “free” education through university, unilateral nuclear disarmament, steeply progressive taxation and the “eradication” of poverty, holds 65 of 129 seats. Labour, the Liberal Democrats and a couple of green parties hold 47 seats, while the conservatives claim just 15. Of the 51 members of the House of Commons representing Scottish constituencies, exactly one is a conservative.
Actually, that sounds pretty good. :)
