Emmanuel Robe on the bench today, looks to be a forward from France. 7 goals in 23 appearances for Chipstead this season, if the same player.
Given the fact we play on a hill and ought to be used to it by now, we're not very good whichever way it's blowing.3-2 down at half time after opening the scoring through the Wizard. Frankly I reckon we're fortunate not to be dead and buried by now, as Cray Valley ran rings around us for much of the first half, scoring 3 unanswered goals before JBW pulled one back from a direct free kick. Barnes made a vital save in a one on one on the stroke of half time to keep the deficit at a single goal. For the third consecutive Saturday home game it's uncomfortably wet and windy, but at least we'll have the wind at our backs for the second half.
Throwing his hat in the ring for shortest Dulwich career? Though think there was a QPR loanee who got injured early on away to Aylesbury and didn’t play again?Emmanuel Robe starting for Chipstead today.
Clearly not, as he's played 2 games. I suspect he's dual registered and we may see him again.Throwing his hat in the ring for shortest Dulwich career? Though think there was a QPR loanee who got injured early on away to Aylesbury and didn’t play again?
I was thinking time on pitch but the previously mentioned QPR loanee was probably less than 45 minutes. Robe has already played 49 minutes plus stoppage time. That said I believe I’ve heard someone mention a player who came on as a late substitute but never played again.Clearly not, as he's played 2 games. Forward Marcel Nugent and left back Rickey Browne, the first season after we were relegated, when Martin Eede had just taken over as manager. They played 3 and 2 league games respectively, so they certainly were not "sacked at half time on their debut". (At least one of them may well have been substituted at half-time on their joint debut, but both played again.) Browne even scored in a 2-1 home defeat against Bishop's Stortford. Their agent was Steve King, who was also our youth team manager at the time, and they were both hopeless. Nugent subsequently played a fair bit of non-league, I think he was at Slough for a while during their homeless years at Windsor & Eton. (Not to be confused with Meshach Nugent, who came through our own youth team a year or two later and was a useful centre forward.)Two QPR loanees the the season after Peter Crouch spring to mind. We sacked them.at half time on their debut , they clearly weren't bothered. I don't think either ever made a professional appearance. One had a brief non-league career. I don't think the other even managed that.
Having actually seen him today, I was mistaken about Michael Bareck being the triallist from pre-season. Apparently he was recommended by Ross Marshall, who was in the Ipswich Town academy with him, and he featured on the left of a midfield three at Cray this afternoon.A new face in the squad at Whitehawk today, Michael Bareck. A former Ipswich Town academy player. He's the triallist striker who featured in most of our pre-season games, scoring at Fisher and Hythe. He's since played 4 times for Ipswich Wanderers of Isthmian D1N, scoring once in every game.

Emmanuel Robe starting for Chipstead today.
I was told by a friend he couldn't get to Brighton in time for the Whitehawk game, then popped up playing for Chipstead at home (on dual registration) without our knowledge, so was released. I was also told he's now signed Isthmian League forms for Hendon, but haven't seen any confirmation on their social media, and he wasn't in their matchday squad on Saturday. Now confirmed in the team news for Saturday that he has left.
Quite right Mr Fry, thank you!Mr S.Fry of Norfolk (I beg your pardon, Sir Stephen Fry of Norfolk) writes:

Gentleman on the right in the orange is Ken he's been training with us for a large part of the season just as an extra number at training. From last night’s training - Michael Bareck on the left, anyone know who the gentleman on the right is?
