Masterchef: The Professionals

This most recent week has been a lot better. But they're definitely ropier than previous seasons. Has lockdown made professional chefs too nervous to cook or something?

Really hard to say who will win this year. Nikita's excellent but so are the others.

Didn't fancy octopus head trimmings myself

ETA - very wanker-free this series!

I think of Charlie as the 'if you're really posh this is how good you can be at something at a young age if you sacrifice having a personality' contestant.

Sagar is the one who won't win but should because he's enjoying it and not being a massive stresshead.

Nikita is the one who I can see coming back on the show to judge others and says 'Service please' like she's been doing it for years.

From the opening stages, all I could her from Charlie is "I'm so young".
Loving Sagar's cooking but would love to see Nikita win.

I thought it was very obvoius who was going to win in the final, so not all that exciting!

Someone made a creme brulee which sounded and looked superb. Step up next person who also made one. It was even better. A great night tonight.

Yes, it would have been a travesty not to send all three through.

Last night's lot were mainly dire!

Catching up with this. Good to see Monica back, but why isn't she doing the critics day? Don't want Greg on that.

I love Jay Rayner. Always the best critic. He takes such obvious joy in eating. I do worry for him a bit. He's a bit wider every series.

Wild garlic appears to be this year's theme.

Anyone watching pro MasterChef this year. The three that went through tonight were simply excellent. Only 2 were due to go through as well.
They were all brilliant. Felt a bit sorry for Joaquin who had a shocker of a day and was clearly outclassed by the other three.

I used to go to his street party in Brixton. Don't know if he's still doing those. But he would man a bbq outside his house. He is indeed a big unit. And a not very good chef I have to say.

Glad Monica's back. The chemistry wasn't there with the other one who took over briefly.
