Manchester City - Jesus saves, Ederson plays - MCFC - OK!

You can't buy history.

come on lad, we won the league in 68 and should have in 72 but for Don Revie’s cheating bastard Leeds.

History doesn’t just mean success, you learn more about yourself in defeat. And Christ did we do some learning for 3 decades #Swalesout

eta - Clough’s Derby with Mackay pulling the strings in midfield in his late 30s. But our team in 72 was shithot until Colin the King had a career shattering injury

Peter Fucking Swales was one of the chairman of the FA when Tony Coton was arguably the 2nd best English keeper. Because there was a clause in his transfer to City that should he get an England cap he forbade George Graham from playing him to save himself 300,000 nicker. It’s a wonder we survived - after having him as Chairman for 30 odd years.

When Joe Royle took over in 98 we had more than 60 players on first team contracts. Even after a year he was still bumping into players he’d never met.

Plus we had to put up with the other lot winning so much for so many years. Spurs and Everton fans can only marginally empathise. Though empathise they can x

He was, along with Franny Lee (and that only because he was Chairman of the club at the time), the only old school city player whose name I was aware of as a child on the Kippax in the early 90s. Never saw him play but know he did a lot for the club and was instrumental in our 68 title win. RIP

I’d add Mike Summerbee and Brian Kidd, but Bell was the finest of the lot by miles. RIP

and the League Cup and FA and European Super Cup.

Along with Sumerbee (who’s name must have escaped your memory even though his son used to play on the wing in front of the Kippax) Tommy Booth, Glyn Pardoe, and Mike Doyle.

eta Rodney Marsh - could do anything with the ball. Don Revie. Tony Book. Billy Meredith. Bert Trautman. Neil Young. Dennis Tuert. Mike Doyle. And Frank Swift.

I sat in the Stretford end that day, got attacked off the stewards for staying behind and singing. And they nicked my programme.

This was a funny joke before he died, not now please.

to be funny it must contain an element of truth, no?
  • Anfield Rd. end
  • Holte end
  • Shed end

Graham Taylor, not G.Graham.

I'm bad with names.

Diaz taking a fall off a tiny Neymar nudge was my 2nd fave part of Tuesday, besides Gundo running the show like a conductor AF1B5B77-D8DC-4301-86E7-A192D033E652.pngEE773B35-2F4E-486E-AF40-C72DC4E56736.png

And the Mods were kind enough to accept both my apology and commitment toward not behaving like last time.

The mahrez free kick was so great. the psg keeper was so pissed

his first touch electrifies me.

Gundo nearly got a broken ankle because the ref was allowing them so many cheap (cheaty) free-kicks and by the time they'd not seen the ball for 17 mins they started to get nasty. All because they felt the could get away with it. Ref lost control of the game in the end.

we should have scored more also.

yeah was quite shocking how quickly psg lost their discipline and turned into a band of petulent teenagers once things weren't going their way. v immature. have to play like we did in the 2nd half all game next week: neymar can and will punish us if given half a chance.
