Lunch should have its own thread

i made my lunch before i went to bed last night. It was YUM. Pasta with onion, garlic, mushrooms, chopped tomato, chopped beetroot, hard boiled egg, wilted spinnach, and sweet chilli sauce.
I need a sleep now

Pea and ham soup... I didn't make my lunch last night or this morning :(

Tomorrow I'll sort out my salad or couscous :D

leftover stock from brisket used to make red lentil-based soup with buttered rolls.

next time will add pearl barley and some veg to the leftover stock :)

I forgot I had half a tin of soup in the fridge at work, so having couscous salad with smoked mackerel today :) soup tomorrow.

That Tuscan Bean and Tomato soup I was wibbling about last week. Made it on Saturday morning, and it is just PERFECT for lunches. Tasty as fuck

I have just had a Thai Green curry. £2.50 for a deep bowful of ok curry. Lots of veg and chicken in it, loads of Basmati rice. £2.50! Two pounds and fifty pence people.

More of my yum, yum, yum spinach, feta and mushroom quiche, warmed up, with a bit of dressed green salad.
In order to try and make it slightly less fattening, I only made half the amount of pastry and rolled it very thinly. It's beautiful and crisp - and the filling is magic, too.

Leftover pasta with pesto and spinach.

Might get a little 'extra' if the deli counter is looking good though.

That is a bargain BMD

Beans on toast for me today... trying to hold out a bit longer so my afternoon doesn't drag too much :D

Yeah, early lunch = bigger second half to the day. Two oclock is a good time but I never make it. 12 is the earliest I can justify lunch so it's always then.

left overs from yesterday razzed in the microwave. some beef stew thing i saw in a magazine and made

beef, peppers, butternut squash etc

yum

Wholemeal vegetable pasty, microwaved with a can of chopped tomatoes and condimented with "Old Isaac's Red Onion chutney".

"Dessert" is some Chinese chestnuts - amazingly sweet considering there's no added sugar.

I've got leftover pasta from last night... it is tasty despite the look on the bear's face

There is cake being sold for charity downstairs... it's really hard to resist, it's for a good cause, but.... but.... :(
