cream of mushroom soup (homemade in 5 mins using some reduced-price portabello mushrooms, one onion, 300ml cream, nutmeg, black pepper and herbs) with poppy-seeded wholemeal buttered rolls

egg mayo roll and a cup of coffee, eaten about 11 on the way back from a meeting. poured half the coffee down my front and dropped the last 1/4 of the roll when the train lurched . on the plus side, i'm not expected back at work till 1.30 so i am now eating 2 lemon mini muffins and a glass of water before i have to go back.

Taking the littlun 'up west' for some winter boots etc. She has demanded fries like they sell in McMurder but is already smart enough to know I'll never go in there, so we're going to Red Veg on Dean Street. Hopefully their hotdog & fries will do the job.

Whole menu looks good, anyone ben? I just worked next to it for 2 years and never went in for some reason.
