Lunch should have its own thread

Lunch can be a tricky one. I walked into a sandwich shop to be greeted with a display of baguettes and sandwiches that had zero appeal.

The whole point of a display is to make things look appealing. Loads of cut up "chicken" escalopes with brie and some loads of other shit doe not look appealing!

So pottered about for a bit - and then plumped for a steak and cheese baguette. What I got was a slice of processed cheese, loads of steak bits and a defrosted baguette.

When I opened it, my heart sank, it looked like dog food in a roll.

Tasted fucking lovely though.

I cooked a extra chicken breast to have for lunch with salad and it has gone missing. We tried sniffing all the cats breath (chicken was cooked with garlic and herbs) but this has not identified a culprit.

First day back at work after a seven day stint of eating whatever/whenever and the choices are not exciting.
Need something good and hearty to get me through this awful day but gotta be on a budget of sorts.

I just cooked a gorgeous carrot, lentil and chilli soup  isn't it great when you cook a good one :D

am making my lunch for tommorow now 11pm here.leftover roast chicken, lettuce, parmeasen and ceaser dressing in a burrito type wrap

I'm going to have a yummy South Indian veggie curry for lunch as I'm feeling well meh and won't have time for dinner tonight.

For a bargainous £3.50 I can have a bhaji, 2 curries, salad, raitha, rice AND bread.

On nom nom nom!

I had the best sandwich today. Roast beef, horseradish, beetroot, and lettuce on fresh multigrain bread. It was truly wonderful.
