Lunch should have its own thread

Out with Mrs SI for our 15th wedding anniversary. Had tapas; we shared tortilla Espanola, patatas bravas, chilli nachos, and kofte kebabs. She then had caramel cheesecake and I had Belgian waffle with berry compote and white chocolate marscapone.
 
Massive slab of homebaked wholemeal seedy toast with Whole Earth crunchy peanut butter on. I've swapped from their previously-gorgeous dark roasted peanut butter. Not sure if my palate has changed or they've made it sweeter, but it tastes sickly now.

Plum and an apple. Oh and a coffee.
 
Brilliant posh pub lunch in Derbyshire. Braised baby leeks in a mustardy sauce with hazelnut crumble, chargrilled tofu marinated in lemongrass and garlic with all sorts of vegetables, cashew nuts, black bean sauce with rice, and sticky toffee pudding. Really great food.
 
Last 3 slices of the ancient grain sourdough, with slices of extra mature cheddar on, slathered with Damn Smokey Chilli Jam, which is very nice indeed.

A handful of black grapes and a banana.
 
Polish pickled cabbage salad, ten year old can of mushy peas I found in my clearing out, milled flaxseed, tahini.
I made do with water today - having become aware that my wine drinking has recently been outside my comfort zone...
 
It will. There's a lot of value to giving it a good while to ferment.
Ah no, this is a new batch, made at a different time to the first lot. I was worried I'd fucked this one up tbh cos I'd not used a weight for the first week and the top bit was a bit scummy. I removed those bits and put a weight on a couple of weeks ago. Anyway, it tastes fucking ace so I've done something right.
