Lunch should have its own thread

We are a bit hit and miss with leftovers I do try, sometimes I pick all the good bits from the leftovers overnight and then don't want the rest the next day.
Anything that doesn't get eaten next day gets frozen in our house. I have a pathological aversion to wasting food, thanks to my childhood! If it ever happens, which it has recently due to brexit delays/rotting fruit, I feel terrible catholic guilt, and I'm not even catholic.

I post about leftovers sometimes, but it is usually more the case that I have planned something to be x number of portions or last for y number of days.

Leftovers sounds a little accidental, what happens is more like deliberate budgeting/planning.

sojourner I was thinking about the leftovers thing last night. Now we don't have a dog all the little scraps that I cant reuse go into the bin (we don't have compost bins in this county) and yeah it makes me cross, need a dog clearly. All bread products go outside to feed the small garden birds but mainly the seagulls scoff it all 🤦🏼‍♀️

Lunch today is tomato soup and cheese toasties all round.

Omg omg so hungry after swimming and post 2 x 12 hour shifts on the trot...
I've just had a comfort egg mayo and crumbed ham sandwich on soft white cheap bread....mmmmm
But also have a bowl of salad, rice and peas and jerk chicken curry.....

That sarnie really filled me up!
