Lunch should have its own thread

Thought I'd break the burgeoning obsession with baked spuds and garlic pickle, before it overwhelms my life, so today I've just scoffed two perfect poached eggs on a fat slice of toast

lunch today is a cheese and pickle sandwich, a bottle of water and a snickers. the best part was the sandwhich :)

i dunno, maybe somethign with bacon, bacn sadwich perhaps? am liking the sound of poached eggs though. decisions decisions

It's more a case of what I HAVEN'T had for lunch today, tbh (hangover).

So far.....some salted pistachios, 3 crab sticks, an individual chicken and vegetable pie (shared with my daughter), 3 packets of Skips, a slice of processed cheese and some smoked mackeral.

I'm currently wondering what to have next.... :hmm:

i had a chicken and butternut squash pie with a cheesey sauce and mash top with lots of peas. very nice it was too, not least as it was technically food for children :D

Yup...you have to feed hangovers. I reckon you need to drink more fluids and have a ice lolly.

Lunch was a buffet as a colleague was leaving after 24 years. She provided quite a bit of food in the sandwich/quiche/sausage area and other brought pakora etc. I brought a lush baked by fair hands after work last night carrot cake.

I had a bit of all that was veggie at the buffet and a few cups of diet coke.

we were planning on having fish finger sandwiches on white bread as a hang over treat but we got Ostrich Burgers with all the oniony trimmings from the St Ives farmers market. nom.

I had a turkey rasher sandwich but was still hungry so has a bowl of NCG pea and ham soup.

and I'm still hungry  Just going to have a cup of tea though :(

I was feeling all sad, forlorn and hungry wondering what I can have that's quick (I thought I might have to wait til dinner or lay out dosh) but I've just remembered I've got crumpets! I'm pretty happy now

I had some minestrone soup and some of someone else's marinated olives.

Oh and a pack of hula hoops (and a free can of sprite which "fell" out of the vending machine as I shook it to loosen the crisps)

Late breakfast/lunch (not fucking brunch) of scrambled eggs on toast.
Was pretty good and good Sunday fodder.

a fish finger sandwich on lovely white bread with tartare sauce. i'd been looking forward to it for 3 days! :D

nothing, didnt realise what the time was and need to leave for a very dull training course in 10 mins :(

I had avocado, cucumber and jalapeno houmous in a wrap, because that's the sum total of what was in the fridge. Imagine my surprise when I discovered it's actually really tasty

it does sound good pip, i like avacado on toast with a little salt, chilli and lime juice :D

for lunch i had orzo in a tomato sauce with red onions, garlic, basil, baby peppers and spinach. nom.

I have just made little pastry snacks. Squares of puff covered in peppers, herbs, ham and cheese and mozz. Baked until dish delish!

Eaten. Too. Many.

My lunch started out fairly healthily .. cycled into town for a shed-load of healthy stuff from Holland and Barnett, then picked up some sushi in Tesco.

Spoiled it with a carton of soya custard. :(

Ravenous today and no idea what to pick up for lunch.
Will stroll to town about 13:00 and get something hearty but cheap.
