Lunch should have its own thread

Emergency menu...rain changed previous plans so friends coming here for lunch!

/Opens fridge :hmm:

Spicy roast chicken.
Tomato, onion, red pepper, garlic and basil salad.
Vegetable fried rice.
Roasted courgette, carrots and green peppers.

I was told at 11am, it's now DONE!

You're not keen on carbs, are you? :):(

I'm extremely keen on carbs. Unfortunately a diet of nothing but cake makes me get fat and feel like shit. :(:D I do jiu jitsu five times a week and go to the gym on top of that so I try to eat a lot of protein and that doesn't leave so many calories for carbs, plus eating carby stuff just makes me crave more of the same.

Lettuce, cherry tomatoes, three boiled eggs, and cottage cheese with ginger and cinnamon and peanut butter. :)

Missing a tooth until I see the dentist on Tuesday, I've opted for soup.
I can never eat canned soup by itself.
The starch always seems cloying to me.
So I opened a can of Aldi chunky veggie soup and chucked in a can of Napolita tomatoes.
Added tahini and I could eat it with a fork.

Tesco meal deal. Cheese layered salad, Tropicana orange juice and roasted cashews for £3. Seemed reasonable, tasted alright. A check of the labels revealed a total of 983 calories.

The lads I was sat next to had a massive brown bap with breaded chicken escalope and salad and I reckon my salad had at least 300 more calories in it. FFS

brown rice with coriander, red onions, chillies, mushrooms, shredded greens and tofu. LUSH and crazy healthy:hmm: who stole me and replaced me with a healthier version. *goes off to lick a lump of lard*

two tortilla wraps with grated cheese in between, toasted in a dry frying pan till crispy and melty.

that's my go to I am soo pissed I can barely see straight snack but with added toms and chilli flakes, how i don't burn the house down is still a mystery to me.

Am at home so...toasted walnut and kalamata olive bread with baked beans. Gonna, fry up some onion and garlic and mix them in with the beans which I will over simmer and then leave to stand for a bit which makes the sauce is really thick. Letting the onions and garlic char a little adds a little extra tang! YUM

I made up a reason to drive to the other side of town so I could get a bacon baguette from my favourite coffee shop. Warm baguette, crispy streaky bacon and HP.

So that with a cup of tea which I sat on the cliffs to eat. :)
