Lunch should have its own thread

omelette with mush, spring onions, sweetcorn, chillies and a green salad with a teaspoon of lf mayo (most of which ended up on my boob:facepalm:) so i am not counting it as consumed.

Bag of salad, leftover spicy turkey from last night's tea, three oatcakes, a kiwi fruit, cup of tea.

something that looked suspiciously like a mound of peanut butter on top of a mound of salad but called itself something really posh & pretentious.

Today I am having home made lasagne.

Saw this on offer in a caff the other day-

Prawn, tomato and avocado salad in a marinade of olive oil, lemon juice and piri-piri. Oh, some feta cheese as well.

Tom yam(yum?) soup, made with paste from a jar. Cooked the noodles, took them out and put in green pepper, sharpened carrot (yeah), spinach, sweetcorn, edamame beans (won't bother again, they're nicer on the side covered in salt), star anise and mirin. Cracked in an egg, after discussion with polly. Topped the lot with soy sauce. It was fucking divine. Never again will I make it without an egg cracked in

I use Tom Yum paste to make Tom Ka Gai (thai coconut chicken soup) too, it's all the same ingredients which would cost an arm and a leg to buy separately.
It's basically chicken broth, chicken, coconut milk, some ginger if I have it, the tom yum paste, fish sauce, lime juice, and scallions/cilantro.
so, so good. :)
I added baked yams and kale last time. it worked really well.

Sorry, I know you didn't ask any of that, but just giving you an option if you have leftover paste. :)
