Lunch should have its own thread

One pot of very pretentious salad, including wheatberries and quinoa FFS! My excuse is that today's meals get weird anyway because of having a class at 6 which takes almost an hour to get to.

Tesco Italian Chicken & Bacon Pasta Bake 450G

I was £0.61 from the TB and should have been eaten by the 15th so I will probably die :(
It is okay, a little on the bland side.

Their pastas aint that good - and are probably only worth 61p! That said, i can never resist a good Tesco bargain....sometimes the lasagnes are 2 for 5 euros, which aint too bad on really busy days. But their Tesco's Finest pasta/ stodge range is awesome- the spaghetti bolognese in red wine ragu is very good, if a little pricey and we are big fans of their lamb moussaka (which is 7 euros!) here

polenta chips, pesto alla genovese.

bloody months old, but is that chips rolled in polenta or chips made out of polenta?

Ok – I mixed up and boiled the polenta as per the packet instructions (except I added some chicken stock and pine nuts for extra justice), then poured it into a baking tray and spread it in a layer about a cm thick. Then left it to cool… once it was cool I sliced it into chips and shallow fried until crispy. So easy tbh.

oooh, never had polenta and that looks well nice.
will pick up a bag the next time I see it in the shops.

Going out to lunch in a minute. Spoilt for choice. I know they do a very nice belly pork with Jerusalem artichoke crisps and celeraic purée. Will have to see what else is on the menu

Polenta chips are yum.

We're having coconut rice (rice an' peas without the peas), made with spring onions, celery, green garlic, oregano and thyme, allspice and paprika. Carrot sticks for the girl, salad leaf for me. She had ketchup on her's :(

Have been eating a lot of raw carrots this week.
So far 1.6kg in fact.
Is this healthy?

They are hard to eat though! when 'stuck' with carrots i bung em in an oven with some olive oil and seasoning and voila, spectacularly sweet and delicious roasted carrots

todays lunch was a yoghurt drink and Ensure vanilla drink....i had a sausage sandwich for breakfast and having a fat dinner so im being good for lunch...

Strawberry fortisip, yoghurt drink, buttermilk. A clementine. I'll snack on nuts, cottage cheese and soft (dried) apricots if im feeling peckish. Trying not to stuff my face too much during the day, as I like a really big full fat dinner. My skinny jeans fit, and the beer belly has disappeared, which is good...

Two rounds of white bread, olive oil margerine, mild cheddar sliced thinly, two tranches of moist ham and a generous spread of Branston pickle. Followed by a chocolate mousse.
