Lunch should have its own thread

I also had quinoa for lunch but it was just in a salad and a bit disappointing. I've become partial to those M&S salads (2 for £3). I've got my favourite - the nut and grain quinoa salad with soy and ginger dressing - but as I always have that, I thought I'd try something else. I really shouldn't have. I had the bean and quinoa salad and it was just tasteless mush :-(

i had a massive reuben sandwich on sourdough bread, and skinny fries with smoked aoili. Sounds much better than it was, the sandwich was disappointing, and quite tasteless (still ate it all mind), i expected there to be a nice kick in the horseradish slaw, but there wasnt - it was just watery. It was also too big and kind of awkward to eat....the chips were like MacDonalds chips and the smoked aoili was like a smokey mayonnaise. Very average for 8 quid.

I've been eating every few hours today, so had a chicken, mushroom and creamy marsala sauce with parmesan potatoes around 11, and just had a whole soreen loaf.

Asda have a special offer on some of the Glorious soups. I know it's not really the weather for soup at lunchtime but it's so delicious

Today I had the Persian Spiced Tomato. Persia's history, of course. It should be Iranian Tomato.

A rib of celery, humus, small bowl of leftover vegetable soup, tiny bits of custard cake, Actimel.

Trying to eat a low fat lunch sucks! :(

Since I'm off to a beer festival later and will no doubt stagger home via the kebab shop or the chippy I thought I'd best have something moderately healthy for lunch and made a stir fry - vegetables and cashew nuts in a throw-together sweet and sour-esque sauce. Unfortunately I always seem to overestimate how much veg I need for a stir fry, and am now too full to move.
