They’re taking the piss now
Or could the sentence be increased at appeal?Well he has nothing to lose whatsoever.

Do we have any Lost Prophets fans on these here boards?
Doubtful i know, but if they are, do you still listen to their music?
Gary Glitter did some great knees-up music, but i bet he doesn't get played at too many parties anymore, although i'm sure many people do still listen to him.
And what is the criteria for airbrushing someones music from history, what behaviour are you guilty of before that happens? Paedophilia may be the only thing i think, and then its shades of grey.
I personally never listen to any artists who ever took illegal drugs. Just me Cliff cds then...

Same here. 'Thriller' too.Still rockin the Michael Jackson CD's here. Well, Bad and Off the Wall anyway.
A woman charged following the police investigation into Lostprophets' singer Ian Watkins will face trial later this year.
Joanne Mjadzelics, 38, faces six charges of possessing and distributing indecent images of children and one count of encouraging another to distribute an indecent image.
Miss Mjadzelics, from Doncaster, appeared at Newport Crown Court via videolink on Monday.
The trial was set for 8 September.
Singer Watkins, 36, was jailed last year after admitting the attempted rape and sexual assault of a child under 13, and a string of other serious offences.
that's what i thought too!Isn't she the one who said she'd talked to the police about her concerns about Watkins but they didn't believe her?
yup, she was/is an 'ex-call girl', and thus not to be believed. apparentlyIsn't she the one who said she'd talked to the police about her concerns about Watkins but they didn't believe her?
Every time I knew that my complaints weren't going anywhere with the police I would back it up by going to social services ”
Joanne Mjadzelics
The other members are forming a new band, so hopefully they can move on and do something newin fairness the rest of the band deserve equal credit for that tune so I'm not going to stop liking it just because of Watkins. I feel pretty sorry that they will have had their livelihoods damaged because of him so, yeah.

Nothing like stating the bleeding obvious, is there?Guardian said:Members of the defunct Lostprophets have formed a new band without their imprisoned former singer Ian Watkins.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-south-east-wales-27502137An inquiry into whether Lostprophets' Ian Watkins' celebrity status prevented him from being brought to justice as a child sex abuser earlier is being held.
Gross misconduct notices have been served on seven police officers as part of an investigation into the handling of allegations against Watkins.
They include three from South Yorkshire Police, two from Bedfordshire Police, and two from South Wales Police.
On average, one terabyte drive is capable of holding 472 hours of broadcast quality video or 150 hours of high-definition recording.
The 27 terabytes Watkins held dwarfed the data storage held by South Wales Police, which has 2,862 officers and 1,631 support staff.
Stuff he recorded(music) would likely be very memory heavy. I think we did this already in the thread.plenty of scope for high def music stuff filling a drive, it can't all have been child porn
No, and the article linked to doesn't say that.Grimness aside, the “On average, one terabyte drive is capable of holding 472 hours of broadcast quality video or 150 hours of high-definition recording” line sounds unlikely. Are they trying to tell us he had between around 4,000 and 12,000 hours of material?

yes that could be 26Tb of tunes! not clear is it
but then SWP aren't tech savvy apparently
e2a - and they say across all of his devices so could be a fair bit of duplication too
As a measure of the amount of data they had to go through looking for illegal content.Well, quite! So why is the Beeb just unquestioningly regurgitating meaningless, nonsense stats like this and “almost five times more data storage than South Wales Police”? Presumably that means SWP have 6TB. I've got 4!
No, and the article linked to doesn't say that.
But done already as pointed out.
Well, they are the previous numbers as the article quoted is from December. And it made sense to me as the size of the haystack that had to be searched iyswim.I know the article does not say that, I am asking, no, wondering, why such shonky numbers are being proferred without any kind of meaningful or accurate explanation.
The previous bunch of crap numbers were done, yes.
this does sound bizarre, doesnt it? 6TB would mean that there staff of 4500ish would only have 6GB of data each, which seems very low, even if they're not ripping DVD's on their PC'sSo why is the Beeb just unquestioningly regurgitating meaningless, nonsense stats like this and “almost five times more data storage than South Wales Police”?
