Another complication is there's a third offer on the table now, from the company that I would have been TUPE'd to if I didn't have these two offers.

no harm in seeing what they have to say (and no harm in them knowing you have other offers)

if you go outside tupe, you may of course get something better than current, but may re-set your starting date to zero for stuff like employment rights and redundancy pay.

assuming they are looking for something more than a short term thing until "their own people" get the hang of your job, sounds encouraging. going on tupe when new employer's not that keen is not much fun...
