But...why?
Why the graphic nature of the frogs legs pulled off whilst alive?
Yeah. Caught them and pulled their little legs off whilst they were still alive. They make a very strange noise when you do that
You do have to remember that the folk in these villages are not really used to seeing tourists pass through. They are everyday people. People just like you and I. Respect that, and you will find all sorts of lovelynesses. All sorts.
Yeah, turning up after dark and sleeping out on the church steps is probably a bit tricky in little villages where the 'everyday people just like you and i' live. A little bit scary for all concerned i imagine.
I am going to do a 'food from the sea day'.
portuguese man o'warI am going to do a 'food from the sea day'. My plan is for shellfish and seaweed.
Google me some suggestions and I will attempt to cook and tell what it tastes like.
portuguese man o'war
I quite fancy myself
Figueira da Foz.
The name sort of means 'mouth of the river opening',
and then walk on towards a place called Nazare
Travelling this way, away from touristville,
Peixe e batata fritaGoogle me some suggestions
I like this. I quite fancy myself as the poor man's Floyd. Beer and walking instead of expensive red wine and posh cars
Err. Ok.You pathetic idiot

.
It's official.
Low tide is your best bet Stan for foraging the shoreline. Some good websites on that. I wouldn't bother with a lot of shellfish this late in the season but razor clams could be a goer. Can you get your hands on a telescopic rod and some mackeral feathers. That would be my weapon of choise this time of year. An hour before and an hour after high water
So. Like 'Aber' in Welsh then. Fascinating.
And this is why you are full of shit. All this 'like you and me' crap and travelling away from touristville. I was in Nazare in the 1980s and, sure, it was a beautiful unspoilt spot, hell of a beach. It's now, as any tiny bit of research would have told you (the same research that would have told you about the waves?) pretty much tourist hell.
You are not doing what you say you are doing or what you set out to do. You're not Hitler. But you are 100% full of shit.
Tl;dr? A pathetic idiot.

I gave my fishing rod away before I had even used it. Time to buy a new one. Decathlon do a cheap starter rod with accessories for less than €20. May give that a try. Worth the cash?

i don't think i betray a secret when i say i don't much like bimble. but it's out of order slagging her off the way you did. and your thread, it'd be a damn sight more interesting if you were doing what you said you were going to do.No. I was replying to a pàthetic, derogatory comment intended as an insult towards me.
Pretty sure you know how that works. You, and the others with nothing better to do than sling mud are spoiling what could be a very interesting thread.
It doesn't say how long it is ... you would need something long and powerful to cast into mackerel from most beaches - you may do better going for pollack off the rocks...
