Following the recent (unsurprising) wave of Republicans trying to claim that liberalism is "Marxism" where they use AI-generated images of Kamala Harris in communist themes to prove how she is a "Marxist", something tells me that this isn't about the Republican propaganda demonizing the Democrats as "Marxists". There is a genuine presence of support from some socialists and communists who have all joined arms with the bourgeois Democratic Party in an attempt to defeat Donald Trump, which is the common reason as to why, but that's not a good idea.
Sure, Donald Trump is the enemy we need to focus on, but the enemy is both the Democrats and Republicans. Why would a socialist be obliged to vote for Kamala Harris in 2024 if it's nothing more than a mere concession promised by a bourgeois opportunist institution that seeks to de-radicalize the left and fill them with Democratic Party neoliberal, self-professed "progressive", anti-proletarian brain rot on how the working class of America is supporting Donald Trump. It's sad but there are proletarians who are supporting the right-wing bourgeois Donald Trump and the Republican party. Why? Because the American Left does not want to commit itself to helping the workers achieve what they want and instead proposes a legal, liquidationist, opportunist doctrine of supporting the Democratic Party because it is a contradiction to the Republican Party.
Not only does this defeat the purpose of socialism, but it only shows the fact that Americans, the mainstream American leftists, have no sympathy for the working class and want to preserve wage slavery and bourgeois gerrymandering and neoliberal, neocolonial, imperialist exploitation of other nations in order to feed the US economy. My country, Bosnia is literally owing up to the US so that the US can feed itself off of our politically flawed, triumvirate, bourgeois dystopia of three uninteresting liquidationists, the Bosniak, the Croat, and the Serb as a means of "ethnic representation" similar to that of the capitalist DEI that reinforces racism by putting a certain quota of having minority representatives based on how much oppressed they are.
All of this is the agenda of the neoliberal, bourgeois, center-right, Democratic Party. Why bother voting for it? Capitalism will destroy itself eventually no matter the outcome.
