Killing Eve

I’m enjoying S3 so far. I think plot-wise and obvi novelty-wise S1 will never be equalled. But I’m lapping up... how can I put it... ‘the life and times of Villanelle’ so much that I don’t care if the overall plot is weak.

I’m more than happy to take the season as a series of short stories, and watch her being assigned a different job every week which she will invariably fuck up in some way or another by disobeying orders, killing people she’s not supposed to kill, and so on.

I'm not loving s3 really.

As always the Villanelle bits are fantastic but theres precious little of those in the 2 eps I've seen so far. The other storylines are a big meh, and I find Eve quite annoying

I'm really enjoying it although I'd heard bad things about series 3. Tbh I'd probably watch Villanelle and Eve reciting the phone directory. I do think it's pretty good though.

I thought this week's episode (no. 4) was the outstanding one of the series so far :). Can't wait for next week's.

Episode 5 was great, but then I am all about Villanelle where this show is concerned

It wasn’t bad and learning about her background in more detail was interesting, but at the same time, after the brilliant previous episode and how it concluded, this week’s episode almost felt like a denied orgasm. Even though I’m sure we’ll reconnect with it next week.

I watched Episode 5 today, I loved it! Villanelle's face on the train back 😳😱😥🤪😫🎧

edit: also watched Episode 4 today and liked it a lot. This season is better than I expected.

I'm really struggling to watch more than 10 mins at a time (of season 3) and have absolutely no idea if its boring of it my attention span has just totally gone to pot during lockdown (have not watched almost anything these past 2 months).
Will persevere, am only on episode 3 but its taken me ages to get that far. :hmm:

Still silly but still really good. Eve, Villanelle and Carolin are all such watchable characters. I enjoyed the episode about Villanelle's family. It offset the silliness in a good way. Definintely still worth a watch.

I wisnae so enthralled with season 3.

And bits of it were just plain silly, but I find Jodie so watchable. Constantine and his daughter too. Basically I liked all the Russians

I’m a bit late to the party but I’m absolutely loving this!! We’re on series 3 now with 2 episodes to go and I’m bereft that’s it’s almost finished. I’m so emotionally invested in it and I actually love Eve. It’s a ‘hell yes’ from me!

Well, whilst not bad per se and generally enjoyable so far, this is feeling a bit surplus to requirements tbh. Seems apparent to me season 4 exists solely for commercial reasons, and not because it is part of the original story arc. Villianelle’s journey of self discovery in this season so far hardly feels plausible.

I’m watching the latest series in real time. They’ve just given up actually writing anything now haven’t they?
Oh, I'm liking it. But I'm a sucker for seething lesbian passions. Gone are the days when we had to make do with a mere subtext eg Zena Warrior Princess, or South of the Border.

The plot is ridiculous and fuller of holes than a swiss cheese, but I've come to realise that that's always the case with these things. They just make it up as they go along and you're not even MEANT to be able to follow it.
