Killing Eve

Series 2 isn't available yet.

I know. But it surely will be ? I dont want to watch it on telly as I am way behind in it. So I'll wait til it comes out on dvd. It started on 10th April so its now well into it on the telly.
I can wait.

Eta..I did see an episode from season 2 a few weeks ago...

Series 2 isn't available yet.

It’s being shown on bbc America. My automated internet pvr system has been downloading them. Surprised there isn’t a spoilers thread tbh. I’ve restrained myself from watching them so far and will probably binge once it’s available over here. Think they will all be available to stream on iplayer as soon as the season wraps up in the states.

Any idea when they will be broadcast here?

The season finale airs on Sunday night in the states by the looks of it, so you’d assume they would want to get it out ASAP as internet isn’t the most friendly of places for accidental spoilers from just casually browsing twitter etc.

Sorry, but I thought Killing Eve was an irritating overrated pile of shite!

So did my OH, so we jacked it in after two episodes. I tried watching it yet again when it was on at my sister's house and STILL didn't get it (despite loving Fleabag).

I found the two leads annoying and the level of violence wasn't mitigated by its overall quality (as I have found to be the case with, say, Line of Duty or Luther).

Each to their own - I just really, really didn't get the acclaim for this one.

Just finished season 1 in anticipation of season 2 starting. I'm a bit lost about the writing to be honest. It's a bit too bonkers for me. Jodie Comer and the bloke who played Constantin were very good but the other performances were a bit bizarre.

I'l watch the next one though, just to see what happens next.

Second series is pretty good although I think if not goes in much longer it'll be like Spooks or Silent Witness, one day you wake up with a shock and realise you're watching absolutely diabolical tv but you've been lulled into a false sense of security like a lobster in slowly warming water.

Agree. It is very good though a little bit less so than S1. Which in itself is not a problem, but by episode 5 I was starting to feel the writers were quite happy further developing the existing background storyline without much urge to move it forward or introduce new plots or significant developments.

If there is to be a S3 they need to reinvent the series and freshen it up a bit.

S3 is a bit patchy so far. It lacks direction. There needs to be an impetus, momentum. Without spoilerising, I understand what they’re going for with Eve, but there still needs to be something like someone chasing someone, rather than just a sense of things already having happened.

Sadly, that is not a surprise. Series' always go like this. The law of diminishing returns :(

(Worries about whether that apostrophe was correct or not. * bites nails *)

Loved the first season but the second one was a big drop in quality, probably because Phoebe Walker Bridge left as head writer. From what I've read, this continues the downward trend and I don't think I'll bother, despite loving the cast. I find that British series often have problems staying on track after a great first season.
