I'm a third of the way through a Psychology degree which my company have been paying for (even though it doesn't directly benefit them) they have now said they will no longer continue to finance it but instead want me to do a finance course with the expectation that I will become a financial analyst (promotion) in a new role I'm already being trained for anyway. My query is - am I capable? can I do it? Should I do it? What about my Psychology course? Can I carry 2 courses at the same time? I'm scared but excited at the same time - I feel my employer has more faith in me then I have eta: I actually enjoy the finance work that I've been doing - it's all new to me but it's not a direction I ever thought I'd take - I never thought I could do this sort of thing - but at the same time if I said no they would cut off the finance for my Psychology course and assume I have no interest in furthering my career in the direction they want
