short answer - no.
human history is shaped by the dynamic interplay between different factors - such as ideology, culture, power relations beteen different groups within society (including but not exclusively that between classes), religion, ideas, economy, access to resources, climate, technology and the decisions of influential individuals (i.e. the english reformation would probably not have happened without the particular nature of Henry 8ths obsessions).
