Is America burning? (Black Lives Matter protests, civil unrest and riots 2020)

This guy is the least subtle cop provocateur I've ever seen. I guess they just figure they don't even have to try to be sneaky since the average American would call any mention of cops starting a riot a "conspiracy theory". Someone mentioned that the umbrella is probably so the cop helicopter you can hear can identify him easily.

Little guy with the blunt got heart

Apparently in Detroit someone turned-up in a SUV and started shooting at a crowd of protesters, one confirmed death so far.

/ Breaking News on Sky.

One person was killed in downtown Detroit after someone in an SUV fired shots into a crowd of people protesting George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis custody, a Detroit police spokeswoman said Saturday.

Kirkwood said the victim was a 19-year-old man, who was pronounced dead at the hospital. The suspect pulled up in a Dodge Durango and fired shots into the crowd, she said.

But the fact that the cameras were there is the reason that this cunt is currently banged up and charged with murder. Had they not been he’d still be working and we’d probably not know anything about this.
For sure. It's not going to stop them doing it though.

[Edited in case of idiocy.]

No, haven't seen anything more on the child soldiers, just that. It could be a sort of dress up game for them but that is not less of a wtf.
The children are symbolically there to protect very important things: "Lenox is regarded as one of the premier shopping destinations in the US Southeast, featuring brands like Prada, Louis Vuitton and Cartier."

What the hell is going on in the heads of the parents.

Looks like some parents doing weird shit with their kids, certainly not 'deployed' by the state, this reply on twitter made me smile.

Wait, "Atlanta" "deployed"? Like the cops? Do the APD have a child soldier division? Did the kid get the call on his Fischer Price phone and was told that he's being called up? Told to come to the station to be distributed riot gear and to get his assignment details

No. Think.

That weird parent shit is normal enough that those parents have brought their children out in public like that. They expect to be allowed to. They don't care if people know they're doing it.

That's not weird parents. That's an incurably diseased nation.

Big crowds of protestors right outside the Whitehouse, some people live streaming it. Police shuffling around behind little metal barricades.

I can't tell what's true or exactly what it means but lots of people claiming that the Whitehouse has been 'under lockdown' all night.

I was in Atlanta a few years ago and was pointed to a parking spot by a car park attendant who was open carrying a Glock handgun and had about half a dozen spare ammunition clips on his belt.

FWIW that's standard in the Philippines too. Any doorman of a supermarket, MacDonalds, you name it. Probably not a coincidence they have an American culture hangover too.

But as for the "incurably diseased nation" Mation...I understand the emotion but this writes a lot of good people off. USA has 300 million people and there's a significant amount who are appalled by shit like dressing up kids like a militia, or even carrying guns. It's not incurable or diseased, it's a result of a heavily entrenched 250 year old constitution that historically, if not exactly realistically, gives weight to the rights of an individual against a rogue state, and that will take a long time to change. And it's certainly not the whole nation, USA is not a homogeneous entity, far from it.

It is, however, one hell of a messed up culture. Mainly a white culture. Large chunks of the USA being a racist hole.

You are entitled to your opinion.
