Inevitable Disappointment thread: Everton 20/21

I watched Seven in Japan but haven't watched the rest of his work yet. Want to though.

If you are in/near London, the Prince Charles Cinema occasionally shows some of his stuff (I've seen Seven Samurai, Yojimbo and Sanjuro there, plus I think they've shown Ran and Kagemusha there too).

You can also get a decent BFI box-set of the samurai films (but sadly there doesn't appear to be one of his more modern stuff like the fantastic High and Low or Stray Dog, you've got to get hold of them individually).

Thanks agricola. Are you named that after the Roman Gnaeus Julius?

I remember going with my mum to Hamley's in London and being fascinated by toy games with ninjas so already I was getting ready for my trip to Japan to Fukuoka to learn Japanese. The Japanese used in Kurosawa is pretty archaic and very difficult to understand.

yes (one of my favourite classics is Tacitus' biography of him, which probably counts as the greatest gift ever given to a father in law*)

* albeit he was dead by then so couldn't appreciate it
I know little of Agricola and haven't read much of Tacitus. My Latin from GCSE is slowly improving though as I rip through audiobooks at YouTube.
