Inevitable Disappointment thread: Everton 20/21

Signed Allan, James Rodriguez and close to signing Doucoure. Sigurdsson, Delph and Walcott all rumoured to be going. A manager that has won three Champions Leagues. Very decent youth prospects in and around the first team, and the women won four nil away from home at the weekend.

On the other hand, its Everton.

Beat Salford 3-0, a very strange game lit up by Nkounkou being amazing and Kean's penalty run-up.

To be fair it has been Spuds and Albion ;)

Will be interesting to see if Everton can sustain this. Obviously won't win the title, but they do look genuinely impressive this year - a very solid squad and a top coach. The only concern would've been big name signings like Rodriguez taking a while to fit in, but that doesn't seem like a problem at all. Wouldn't rule out a proper top four push.

Bigger worry for me is it's the first time since 1993-94 we have won the first 3 league games. Mot a great season to be fair, I hope history does not repeat itself.... Ever the pessimist....

Twenty goals in six games, DCL has two hatricks in successive home games and the women are in the FA Cup Final.

Everton did manage to get Richarlison, Kenny and Allan injured in one game, though.

but for Pickford I am not sure this side could even be described as Everton nowadays.

Tom Davies playing at right back and being fantastic? Sigurdsson playing well in midfield?
