Help me fill my Wire void!

Not exactly what was asked but the books of George Pelecanos, one of the writers on The Wire are brilliant. Some need to be read in order but try The Turnaround as a starter.

Watching it too, episode 5 next. The woman who plays the mum is on Tremme. Plus all the other familiar faces...

It is a good length too. I have watched the whole thing in the mornings before work this week. Been reading more about the background and making of you, all really interesting.

Been watching The Corner too. Acting is good I must say. I expected it might be a low budget thing not being that well known. D'Andre, Fran and Gary all very good.

Well, True Detective was great but it is over now :(

Keeping up to date with Elementary which I really like, but not got anything decent lined up to fill the #wirevoid at the moment.

Any recommendations?

I've just finished series 2 of Spiral (Engrenages in French), and it is excellent. I have the box set and I'm very much looking forward to watching series 3 and 4.

Vikings s2 is up and going and well worth a watch.
Latest Scandi crime drama MAMMON due to start this Friday on More4 and from what I've read is much more Wire-y than either The Killing or The Bridge - more of a look at the structural cracks in society than a whodunnit, iyswim.
