Adams and Maguiness are simply men of their time, its a natural progession, Marx stated movements not based around class simply end up eventually absorbed as the bourgeois establishment. The same process happened in the South after 21.

Its inevitable. Republicanism in Ireland has been in decline for decades, the IRA were once part of Irish culture, not anymore.
