I’ll be joining her next week. I bought my economy return ticket a couple of weeks ago, but in view of this £99 each way upgrade offer I thought I might as well. Never in a million years I thought I would ever be able to book a return business class flight to AMM with BA for a total of £675. Usually in the region of £1,600 at the least

I suppose it is cheap for business class to Jordan - still a lot of money for one flight though (ok, 2). I just paid £275 per person to fly from Stockholm to Crete and back, and they threw in a week in a four star hotel with all inclusive food and drink. Flights and holidays are cheeep right now!

BA biz fare LHR-AMM-LHR = £943.07 for next week.

Royal Jordanian's best rate is £1209.67, but that's a 787 with flat bed seats.

The Breguet Deux-Pont made sense at the time, the late 1940s. Why build a long bendy fuselage when you could a shorter, stronger, one with two cabins for the passengers one above the other? Years ahead of the Airbus A380. Though it might be a bit sporty in a crosswind landing.

Flights almost never go over the Antarctic, there's just no demand for it. This was a repatriation flight, so was full of fare paying passengers.

Duxford has a golf buggy bus for people that have difficulty over distances. It is a big place as I’m guessing you already know but they are able to cater for the less mobile.

Yeah it was. Its a test concorde though, so not like a passenger plane inside, I would say its actually more interesting. Its got an escape hatch designed to let people bail out up to Mach 2
