What can be expected of a state this disgusting (old article):

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...in-cages-human-rights-group-says-9032826.html

"An Israeli human rights organisation has accused the government of torturing children after it emerged some were kept in outdoor cages during winter.

The Public Committee Against Torture in Israel (PCATI) published a report which claimed children suspected of minor crimes were subjected to “public caging”, threats and acts of sexual violence and military trials without representation."

Who needs Fascism when you can do this being "the only democratic state in the Middle East" as they love to define themselves.

Well I have decided to stop buying anything Israeli, I don't know if that will do any good :hmm:
My honest opinion is unless everyone does it it ain't going to work BUT what might be useful is if everyone who is boycotting Israeli goods tells the companies and shops about it. If I stop shopping at store x they won't notice if I don't tell them.

Their intention is clear as that scumbag Feiglin recently stated:

"Elimination- The GSS and IDF will thoroughly eliminate all armed enemies from Gaza. The enemy population that is innocent of wrong-doing and separated itself from the armed terrorists will be treated in accordance with international law and will be allowed to leave. Israel will generously aid those who wish to leave.

Sovereignty – Gaza is part of our Land and we will remain there forever. Liberation of parts of our land forever is the only thing that justifies endangering our soldiers in battle to capture land. Subsequent to the elimination of terror from Gaza, it will become part of sovereign Israel and will be populated by Jews. This will also serve to ease the housing crisis in Israel. The coastal train line will be extended, as soon as possible, to reach the entire length of Gaza."

I never used to think that BDS would work or agree with it ideologically but I am starting to think that if you want to help the Palestinians it is the only thing that will work I mean Jesus this looks like what Serbia and Croatia did in the 1990s, or Gaddafi or something. Jesus

In fact it could well be worse than either!

So it is basically a greater Israel type bollocks? This is disgusting and needs to be stopped!

There's a lot less Israeli produce than a few years ago. Packeted herbs no longer come from Israel and as for Jaffa branded oranges they've gone as well. What really pisses me off are the dates, why the fuck is it necessary to stock Israeli dates? Sodastream is not selling despite being on offer with a 70% discount in by local Sainsbury but that could be just because it's a shit product.

Then there are computer CPUs unfortunately...

our individual pressure makes little difference - altho the sporting and cultural boycotts (even individual ones) do make a difference to Israeli's (even if all they do is really piss them off). but things like pressuring councils etc not to buy HP computers, and not to invest in them at least goes somewhere.

And, as I mentioned before, as it is unlikely the Palestinian people themselves alone can win their own freedom, the support has to come from somewhere.

I really don't understand this "human shields" argument I keep coming across. What kind of twisted fucked up morality do you have to have to think using human shields is wrong but killing them is totally justified?

A carefully calculated and calibrated assessment of how best to get the (American) public to swallow lies.

Just came across this, then found it on the Hasbara thread:

The Luntz report, officially entitled "The Israel project's 2009 Global Language Dictionary, was leaked almost immediately to Newsweek Online, but its true importance has seldom been appreciated. It should be required reading for everybody, especially journalists, interested in any aspect of Israeli policy because of its "dos and don'ts" for Israeli spokesmen.

...
In a sentence in bold type, underlined and with capitalisation, Dr Luntz says that Israeli spokesmen or political leaders must never, ever justify "the deliberate slaughter of innocent women and children" and they must aggressively challenge those who accuse Israel of such a crime. Israeli spokesmen struggled to be true to this prescription when 16 Palestinians were killed in a UN shelter in Gaza last Thursday.
