Anyone know owt about this? It's entirely controlled (as of last week) by a group of independents running on a (seemingly) progressive ticket, with some massive (1000 +) majorities. Something to learn from or one of those weird local politics anomalies?

having said that, I think they're decent sorts who mean well - like most decent sorts the world is probably a better place for their contribution, but of course they do nowt to challenge or even understand the real problems.

I see Shane Collins ex-Brixton stalwart, Cannabis March organiser and Reclaim The Streets originator (according to one version of the story) got elected on Thursday for IFF.

they haven't been really though - all their members would be equally at home in pre2010 Libdems or pre-01 soft Labour, even liberal Tories. They don't seem to be different people they just have a different label. Still like I said, not bad people.

Shane Collins was elected as a Green district councillor from Frome, not sure what links they have with IfF but I imagine there are a few...
