The Montreal Olympics were in 1976; the Calgary Olympics in 1988. Tbh, I can't recall how the british press handled those two events.
A clue: there was only one Canadian Olympic games that I started threads about, and posted countless photos of, all within the memory grasp of your average person on the Clapham omnibus.
