Footwear wearing out at the ball of my feet

Maggot

The Cake of Liberty
I do a lot of walking for my job. I usually wear Skechers trainers as their memory foam soles are so comfortable and springy. But the last 2 pairs have worn away where my balls hit the ground, but the rest of the shoe is fine. Is there some kind insole or other device to reinforce this part? Or should I try to change my walking style?

With me it's the big toe.

I buy HiTec silver shadows in spite of the garish colour and turning me into a van der graaf generator - because they're so kind on concrete and because I have very limited choice in size 13 ... in recent years they started fitting something more durable over the foam soles and it helps, but the heel keeps unsticking.
Proper shoe glue is surprisingly expensive.

On a serious note..
I used to wear skechers memory foam shoes too...on my feet all day.
They really messes up my Achilles tendons
I was left hobbling around for best part of a year.
Best shoes for standing and walking imo are well broken in doc martens.

I think if you added anything homemade into the bit where your foot exerts most pressure, it might damage your feet. If you wanted to spend a load of money, you could see a podiatrists for gait analysis and some insoles to try to correct it.

Heels. Always the heels, be it runners, docs, shoes...

Have to wear medical support soles as well, cos of bone problem, which makes it even more difficult when choosing a new pair. Right size versus space for inserts, dammit.
