Films with trains

The train scene in Night of The Demon (57) springs to mind. Probably cos it is one of my favourite films EVER.

I was gonna post that! I absolutely LOVE that film.

2 excellent films for GWR supporters.

"The Last Journey" (1936)

"A Run For Your Money" (Ealing - 1949)

Both cracking films - RFM in particular - both feature Paddington , and both feature iconic Landore Castle class locomotive 5004 "Llanstephan Castle"

Thanks to atomic for the station agent earlier
 overdue for watching again

No. No, no. No, no. You are dead to me. Lumping Harry Potter in with quadrophenia is just wrong.

Most of best films already mentioned, but a brief mention for the ladykillers for the last 20 minutes or do of pure comedy with steam trains out of Kings Cross

:D

Well, there's obviously 'Brief Encounter' but that's more about a train station

and there's a 1940s British b/w film which tells the small, dramatic stories of 4 or 5 people in London before they get on a train that eventually crashes.

It's been shown a few times on London Live (so it's not a well-known film) and it's really quite good. But I can't remember what it's called.

"Train of Events"
