last night at Blues Kitchen with Tav Falco and Panther Burns, for free... that is already my gig of the year. they have even got better than before. i bumped into this guy i know who hadn't seen them before at the front and he was just staring with his mouth open, awe struck. That's good as the last couple of gigs i was slightly disappointed, they are back on it now. shows across the UK from this friday, even in the North i think...

Their new video's a scream. Shot in the Queen's Head, natch.

Looking like Quadrophenia's Jimmy gone wrong, Fat White frontman Lias Saudi takes a long drag from his cigarette. He looks around the room, as if pondering some next cunt who did him wrong five minutes ago, and behind, a bare naked arse rolls into view. This is essentially the premise of the entire video.

The good news is it probably cost nothing to make, a good factor when you consider the band are currently trying to raise funds to head to SXSW. Also, does your video have buttholes in it? No, so shutup. This video is amazing.

The band are currently on tour and you should probably almost definitely check them out. The last time we did we called it the best show we'd seen in recent memory and someone in the comment section said it looked like "a room full of people chin wagging while the style council jam after smashing some ketamine", so you know at the least it's gonna be divisive. But also probably amazing because people who leave comments on websites have no taste.

people appear to being going mental over the current uk tour on the "social media" too.... and that tour fund thing made enough money to send them to the states in about 6 days. Couldn't be happier for them considering how they worked for it! out in the real world, away from the cynical london mindset, people who see their gigs (entire gigs, not just a few songs) seem to always get blown away.

It's not my fault that when I saw them (away from London and it's stupid fuckwit mindset), they were the amongst the very worst bands I've ever seen in well over 20 years of gigs. No one with ears would take more than a few songs to hear that. No one did.

Shonky Doors wannabes with all the stage moves but no actual songs.
