Except that didn't happen, we cleared this up pages and pages and pages ago now.
I'm not quite sure why you continue to slander the band. Are you hoping that some people have forgotten that the whole 'issue' was resolved?

Do you like Eric Clapton at all BTW? He has actually been documented racially abusing people.

One member mentioned the N word but not in the context of racist abuse, in fact it was pretty much the opposite (plus he was parodying someone else). He was drunk and being a tool and clearly not being cool, and upset a lot of people. He apologised for his behavior and it was accepted that any idea of intended racism was due to a misunderstanding (exasperated by drunken twatery) and was forgiven.
I'm pretty sure that this has all been covered by this thread. Nobody here was actually there, and the people who were there (to my knowledge) have all accepted the above.

I have discussed the issue (and this thread) with him. Personally I can not imagine in a million years that he or any other members are in the least bit racist, they would have to be hiding it really really really well, and to be honest I really don't think they would be capable of pulling that off.

Never sweep racism under the carpet. So naturally, you've thrown away your Eric Clapton albums and strongly condemn the man whenever he's brought up in conversation.

After all, he's said things a thousand times worse than anything the Fat Whites are alleged to have said and there's no confusion about his intended meaning either.

What Clapton said is on public record and it's fucking disgusting:

I was looking for CDs to buy my BF for xmas and took a chance on the debut from 'Fat White Family' on the strength of this thread and the reactions it was causing. Then there was a interview in The Guardian Guide and then 2 weeks back on Steve Lamaqs Round Table. The single on Round Table I really enjoyed but the panel were a bit 'oo' 'er' ..I think I recall comments about catchty title with no song substance. Anyway I haven't got round to listening to the album yet but it's on my 'to do list'. BF wasn't impressed but his opinion is most often subject to change so till we listen together there will be no opinion. I must add this was like a throwing in black jack when all other CD choices were aces. I don't regret my purchase despite even now not having heard them.
 
On the round table that week ....Poet Luke Wright, Luke Haines and Editor Mike Diver. So nobody whose opinions rate highly with me.
 
I can't recall who was on (was too busy getting self together for a night-shift) but they did IMO provoke more debate than usual.Anyway album is on and I like it plus my BF likes it saying 'I'd go see them'..:)..so thanks..maybe for his B'day I will wildcard Atomic Suplex!
 
ha thanks, we only currently have vinyl tho!! but i'm sure there are ways to listen to the 1st album for free online. really glad you liked fwf anyway! was an instant hit with me. not to be too "spam" but both bands are playing on feb 25th at electrowerkz in Angel anyway... we might have the odd guest place.

anyway keep listening to the album, it gets deeper as you go in.
 
Just finished listening to it and really enjoyed it..BF has changed his opinion to 'it's as garage as it can get' and would like to see them live. So xmas success. I heard they will be playing Greenman Festival today which I'm sure will be one of many..but again thanks thread..I have a huge music loving BF and it's always a pleasure to surprise him..:)

dunno if this will mean much to you or BF but in their early sets they used to cover "I hate you" by The Monks which is one of my favourite obscurish weird-garage bands ever... so they got pretty good garage taste imo!!
