gg allin was going to top himself on stage on his birthday. he never did it tho, as he was always in jail on his birthday. but yeh of course it is a dumb competition to get into, as it's all been done before anyway. the important thing is how the show comes across. i've been to whisper-quiet shows that have been much more shocking/emotionally effecting than wendy o williams doing her shock rock act. Which is why i didn't make a big deal of exactly what "shocking" thing happened at this show as it is irrelevant really.
